Broken 06/22/2011
In time the heart may shatter,
after the rough sights, words even.
Those sneers and snarls,
looks of disgust.
Your mind lays in pieces,
your heart turns to dust.
With every broken piece of you,
you pick yourself up.
Broken, still walking,
you mustn't stop.
The broken bear eyes so sad,
even the angels can't bear to see.
But the broken have a hidden strength,
for its how they must be.
Broken, beaten, pushed down,
but each broken piece, bears a crown.
after the rough sights, words even.
Those sneers and snarls,
looks of disgust.
Your mind lays in pieces,
your heart turns to dust.
With every broken piece of you,
you pick yourself up.
Broken, still walking,
you mustn't stop.
The broken bear eyes so sad,
even the angels can't bear to see.
But the broken have a hidden strength,
for its how they must be.
Broken, beaten, pushed down,
but each broken piece, bears a crown.
